Free Tune - "Wild Funkenstein" Dj Zya Vs Deadmau5 Vs Cut La Roc

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!! Yes, that's right, we're wrapping up another week and what better way to do it than with another kickass free tune, I don't think there is one! Cut La Roc has been doing the wild thing with turntables ever since he was a wee little chap. Originally Lee started cutting and scratching with Hip-Hop becoming an expert battle champion. Then when Acid House began to emerge back in the late 80's, he started Djing at clubs and was easily able to stand out with his quick hands and fader magic. In 1998 he released the well known "Punk Progression", deemed "What the Beatles would have sounded like if they'd invented jungle" by the New Musical Express. He was also a pioneer of Big Beat alongside names like Midfield General, Bentley Rhythm Ace and Fatboy Slim! Since then Cut La Roc has gone on to accomplish some major things like earning a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records by setting the world record for Djing with nine tables and having appeared on Top of the Pops. Lee has an immense discography dating back to 1996 and he shows no signs of stopping with his third full length album due out this year. He travels all over the globe bringing his superior mixing and cutting skills with him wherever he goes. Delighting fans with a mix of House, Breaks, Hip-Hop and Turntablism, Cut La Roc is always a crowd pleaser anywhere he ends up.
Today's tuna blends all of Lee's influences taking cues from House, Hip-Hop, and Acid. Lee deftly combines Tone Loc's "Wild Thing", Deadmau5's "Dr. Funkenstein" the Dj Zya Remix and works it all together with Cut La Roc expertise. Funky and grooving the Tone Loc vocals give a taste of the old school to this Nu Skool tune. The breaks are nestled somewhere in-between Hip-Hop, Breakbeats, and Rock with a chunky Electro House kick to back it up. Acid lines twist and turn, filtering in and out throughout the track. The final breakdown stretches things out nice and long while incorporating a bit of a Trancey feel before some serious bit destruction quickly warps things into outer space.
